You have a great story! And may I just say, that you are doing an awesome job. Logan is a wonderful baby with two parents that love him and are willing to sacrifice for him. God has totally blessed this family with a wonderful baby boy named Logan. Sometimes I think God uses our babies to show us what His love is like for just a time. Unfortunately, our children grow up just like we did and become like us. But just for a time, they love us unconditionally! Hold on to the preciousness of that time and see what God wants to show you. I think that God looks down on you and says, "Zach, you are my son and I have given you a son. Show him what a Father is all about." You are a fine young man! And I love you. Mommy

Thanks to Sarah Hall I found this website and have really enjoyed reading through your posts. This one so reminds me of three songs, Stained Glass Masquerade, Does Anybody Hear Her, and If We are the Body all by Casting Crowns. What are churches becoming or have they always been this way? We are currently looking for a new church family that isn't that way. Does one exist? I don't know but I hope so.

It isn't that I want to go to a church where everyone is crying and a wreck every Sunday but I don't want to feel that I am the only messed up person there every week either. I don't want to feel like I am the only person there that is wondering what God is thinking and surely I must be "less" because I am going through a time where my faith is weak. Surely a place exists where people call themselves "Christians" and that doesn't involve looking down at the ones who don't put on the mask. I know that churches are made up of imperfect people but surely a place exists where more than one couple in a church are interested in coming alongside someone and helping rather than looking down at the carnage and passing judgment. Surely a place exists where I won't be shunned by people who don't know my story. Surely a place exists where understanding and a helping hand are given to all not just those who wear their Sunday face well. We are all sinners and we all have some level of heartache we shouldn't be punished for showing the truth. Because they know that we are going through rough times I have had the Jehovah's Witnesses at my door on the average of once a week for the past 4 months. I have had someone from my "church family" at my door once in the same amount of time. Don't worry, I am not converting but it sure has made me do some thinking.

In this geographical location I have always been in the "not good enough" crowd. Yet I have always had the same church family here. Thanks for reminding me that I am not a disappointment in Christ's eyes! This gives me the hope and encouragement I need to realize that I am worth something to the creator and I don't need a place that masks are required.

when i think of manly, i think of my dad because he is probably one of the manliest men i know. he can fix things like fences and kitchen sinks, build things with his garage full of tools, and he rides a motorcycle (tough :D). he knows all about home renovations, and works hard everyday to put food on the table.

to me, taking care of your woman, family, and home are the manliest things you can do.

Brandon Hackett had this posted on his Facebook page so that's how I found what you wrote. I can identify. I am a single mom with a four year old daughter. I just want you to know that it's refreshing to hear a man with an understanding of the importance of family and of what true love means. I wish you the best.

Dang it Brandon, this is good stuff. Convicting. I needed to hear this.

I too suffer from reactionitis. I think you're right—it's all I do. The thought of being in control of myself and my emotions no matter what sounds impossible, but also very alluring. Good to know that I have the same Spirit living in me who raised Christ from the dead.
