Other Ministries
wesuckatlife.com isn’t all there is to this…we want these ideas, these thoughts to work in us and through us and to make a difference in our everday lives. Here’s a list of what else we are involved in.
The BBC
After a summers worth of learning the trade of “stealing a girlfriend” and “ruining friendships” and involving myself in the scene that is known as “dudes” (local steakhouse/bar/dance club) and then finding myself without any friends, I did the only logical thing a 22 year old guy can do to make new friends….I started a book club.
It started out as 10 people reading the book blue like jazz by Donald Miller and has turned into a community of people learning to love each other and God.
We have since read several books together, discussing the content of the books and how we can apply it to our lives and also what we can learn about God through the conversation we have with each other.
The name was originally the book club but later found out someone had dubbed us the Bible Book Club and have since shortened it to The BBC.
We are learning how to love people. We are learning how to be honest with each other. We are learning how to pray for each other. We are learning how to give to those around us that are in need. We are learning how to serve. We are learning how to live. And we are doing it as a community.
We have read Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller, half of The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell, Soul Cravings by Erwin McManus, The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis and are currently reading Flashbang by Mark Steele.
We also put together our 2nd annual christmas party for kids that attend another ministry in town called the ARK consisting of kids aged Kindergarten to sixth grade. We get the kids a bunch of christmas presents that they can use during their time at the ark and feed them food and play games with them.
We are also very involved with the “Cold December” ministry.

Wicked Awesome Worship
Wicked Awesome Worship is set up for people who need to reconnect. Who need to re-energize. An idea sprouting from the mind of Brandon and brought forward by a small group of people who just want to worship together. People who want a community where you can worship freely and in multiple ways…through meditating on the Word, singing, prayer, and fellowship with others.

Project Cold December
All it took was one e-mail from a friend that was willing to act on one of my very own convictions.
He would put together a care package for a little baby.
And from that e-mail came the idea of Project Cold December.
The blog “cold december” talks about a conviction of not taking meaningful action when we see the world hurting around us….this is our answer.
We are seeking out neighbors, co-workers, friends, people in need, and showing them something different. Instead of ignoring the problem we are going to try to meet these peoples needs. Sometimes it’s a matter of baby food or clothes or simply just somebody to say I’m thinking about you.
What started out as two guys sending emails turned into 9 people meeting at the local subway to talk about who they could love. What people they see every day that could use something this christmas. Whether it is a need or a want.
From those nine we now have 15 people involved, offering to give money and time to 8 different families in our own community. Families we interact with on a daily basis.
This year we hope to do more than just talk about love that dwells inside of us…We hope to actually show people this love. And maybe, just maybe it will make a warmer december for someone.
And we hope to continue this throughout the year.

Music
I have yet to meet somebody who doesn’t like some sort of music. So one of the best ways for us to be around people is through music.
We like to rock and have noticed that most of our friends do too…so we are committing to bringing you rock.
Whether it is through a live show or recorded music.
Concerts:
We have brought in a few shows in the past…The Can’t Get Away Tour featuring The Emberlight, Pilot for Kite, and Nineball and the Fall Kick Off show featuring Three Cord Wonder, Pilot for Kite, and Fight the Good Fight.
Recorded Music:
I have currently set up a basement studio and am willing to help out any bands that are trying to get their name out in the world but do not have a viable way to record a decent demo.
